FIRE SAFETY TRAINING TO TRANSFER TO PRIVATE COMPANY
Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service is pleased to announce that, from 29 August 2014, it intends for its Industrial and Commercial Training Unit (ICTU) to be transferred to a private company that two of its employees propose to establish.
This exciting new opportunity will enable the ICTU, which provides fire safety training to businesses, to “spin out” from the fire and rescue service. Training will be delivered through a new company owned and operated by the two employees who have been employed in the running of the ICTU for the past 16 years.
“If any employees come forward with ideas for how parts of our service can be operated more effectively and provide better value for money or improved service to the public of Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes, we are keen to listen.
He said the new business would continue to deliver the same high quality training to existing customers, and that it has the full backing and support of Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service.
