About Little Chicks Pre-school Limited
OUR MISSION
Little Chicks Pre-school Limited can be found at the Shawbirch Community Centre, Oakfield Road, Telford. The Pre-school has been established at this site since 2005.
Little Chicks Pre-school follows the Government initiatives known as ‘The Early Years Foundation Stage’ and is registered with OFSTED.
To provide play opportunities that help young children to learn and develop through doing and talking, which research has shown to be the means by which young children learn to think.
To use the practice guidance Early Years Foundation Stage to plan and provide a range of play activities that help children to make progress in each of the areas of learning and development.
To provide outdoor activities that contributes to children’s health, their physical development and their knowledge of the world around them.
To provide equal opportunities for all regardless of sex, abilities, cultural background etc and to safeguard them at all times.
– staff are encouraged to develop through appropriate training, support being provided where needed.
- we maintain a record of children in the areas of learning and development with examples of your child’s work and experiences. These records are available for inspection on request and at parent/key-worker update meetings. Records are intended, with parental permission, to be passed to subsequent educational establishments.

The Pre-school became a limited company in August 2014.
Little Chicks Pre-school is open between the hours of 09.00 – 15.00 using a number of flexible options.
The Pre-school follows normal Telford & Wrekin Council Term times. We provide a wide range of activities both indoor and outdoor.
