Grahame Childs & Company have been completing energy assessments and EPC reports across the Midlands region since 2010.
The experience of past roles has also given Grahame wide experience of the many issues of property ownership and lease management, including business relocations and even lease forfeiture occasioned when his biggest customer "went bump in the night" and forced closure of his own business! Grahame is also conversant with the many considerations of commercial property ownership under SIPP and SSAS pension arrangements, being the primary trustee of his own SSAS scheme. All of these experiences help to inform his business activities and ensure that you receive the service that you need for your own property.
From the outset our company has engaged with a number of Associate Energy Assessors, identifying those who hold the same professional values and who can deliver on our customer promises. In this way we have offered a 'one stop shop' to both Agents and Property Owners with more significant or diverse needs, including On Construction, DEC, Air Con' and complex Commercial Property EPC's. In addition to our Energy Assessment & EPC services, Grahame has some 30 years experience of deploying financial reporting and production related solutions using Microsoft Excel (and its predecessors) and now offers one-on-one mentoring and group training for beginners and intermediate users as well as undertaking design and development projects in Excel for both small and large organisations.
Once you've identified your preferred Assessor(s) you'll need to provide them with answers to a few basic questions :-
If your property is to be marketed for sale or let you should now give any interested party a copy of both the EPC and the Recommendations Report (they must always be provided together) for them to read. You are not allowed to charge for making the reports available. If marketing started before the EPC was available then remember to provide copies to anyone who has already had other details of the property. The EPC rating achieved by the property should also be stated on any published details (online or printed).
