Ever since his first visit to an optician at 5 years old, local man, Martin Walters, has been passionate about eyes and Optometry. He's now the owner of the highly regarded opticians based in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, and Long Sutton, Lincolnshire. Thanks to his skills and abilities, you can rest assured, knowing he has what it takes to take great care of your eyes. Below is what Martin had to say about the business!
"At age 5 my eyesight was found to be fine, but I remember being fascinated with the huge tray of lenses that the Optician had to choose from, and all the weird and wonderful machines that he used. After qualifying as an Optometrist from Aston University I made it my mission to run my very own practice - but now I'm lucky enough to have two."
18 years ago and shortly after qualifying, Martin began working at Coakleys, with Mr Coakley as his mentor. In 2008 he took over the running of the business with Mr Coakley still working as a locum 2 days a week. Martin adds, "We are privileged to have Mr Coakley still working with us and being on hand with his vast experience as an Optometrist and Business owner."
