Throughout our racing history we've enjoyed working with some great drivers. At INGSport we pride ourselves on the fantastic opportunities we provide for drivers to be part of a competitive team, building up a great track record of success.
Mike Wilds first drove for INGSport in 2003 and most recently drove our BMW Z4 GT3 in the opening round of the Endurance Race Series at Rockingham in April 2015. Mike is a hugely experienced British Racing Driver who started racing in 1965. His racing career includes Formula Ford 1600, European Formula Three, European Formula 5000, World Championship Formula One and the World Sports Car Championship. He has won 12 British Championships in Sports, GT and Touring cars including most recently the 2013 Britcar Production Cup Championship and one World Championship; the 1986 World Group C2 Team World Championship with Ecurie Ecosse.
INGSport acquired the car the following year and then began its transformation into one of the most successful production based endurance touring cars ever built. 100% of all the components are supplied by BMW Motorsport and is an example of the incredible design ability of the BMW Motorsport support network.
INGSport are excited to return to Britcar this year, entering our BMW Z4 GT3 into the Dunlop Endurance Championship. Principal driver Ian Lawson has enjoyed getting back into the car and is relishing the opportunity to race against some highly regarded teams. As for the rest of the INGSport team, we will be giving 110% as always to achieve what we like doing best – winning.
