Safety Forward Ltd, Health & Safety Consultants and Contractor, was founded by Marisa Firkins CMIOSH. Her varied career has included time spent in working in law enforcement and security which involved in a wide variety of specialist areas such as fleet safety, laboratory safety, working at height (including rope access) and workshop safety. Marisa has lead in H&S training where she has raised standards and improved performance and culture in many business areas. In addition to her health and safety qualifications she is also certified in training, auditing and investigation.
Marisa has a wealth of experience across a range of health and safety topics. She has provided onsite training and awareness to covert and overt law enforcement teams whose activity is carried out in the UK and internationally. During her career Marisa has achieved success in raising safety standards. This lies in her ability to engage with teams and then taking time to understand the work they do. Marisa has developed a variety of robust risk management systems and safe methods of work.
As part of her range of services, Marisa has provided on site health and safety management, ensuring that project and building work is carried out safely and meets third party requirements.
