We founded Best Estates in spring 2014 with three clear objectives; to help our clients achieve the best price for their properties, to do this in as short a period of time as possible and very importantly to enjoy working with us along the way! So, if you trust us to sell your property, we’ll promise to put all of our energies into getting the best price for you, as quickly as possible. We will also work our socks off to make the whole thing a pleasure.
We know how important customer service is, from our experience of running Best of Suffolk. This was founded in 2006 by Alex and Naomi Tarry, who were on a mission to bring the standards of boutique hotels to self-catering accommodation, and they have successfully grown the award-winning business year on.
The headquarters is the heart of our business, this is where all the marketing, technical and financial work is completed. Based in a beautiful restored barn in Badingham our HQ is the driving force behind the scenes and ensures that the business runs smoothly and we can provide the first class service that our clients deserve.
A WELL CONNECTED BUSINESS
Alex's property career started at University, when studying Economics in Loughborough in the early '90's he saw an opportunity to buy and let houses to students, a business he and Naomi spent the next 15 years building up, cutting his teeth as a developer in the process, as many of the houses required updating and refurbishment. He then moved into private lets and more ambitious developments in Ipswich, creating high quality homes for local workers.
At the same time he pursued a professional career in top flight marketing and sales for NatWest Bank and BT, learning to build brands, launch new products and recruit new customers, culminating in running NatWest's student recruitment campaign, at the time their biggest retail marketing campaign to date. These two careers converged in 2003 when Alex and Naomi bought their first holiday cottage in Aldeburgh and undertook a huge renovation, before marketing it themselves, the birth of Best of Suffolk. To date he has undertaken over 50 property developments, latterly focusing on interesting period buildings, creating holiday cottages and winning conservation awards in the process. Founding Best Estates in 2014 fulfilled a long held ambition to use his experience to bring a new energy to house selling in Suffolk.
Matthew is a licensed member of the National Association of Estate Agents, and has been selling houses for over 14 years. He has been Treasurer of the National Association of Estate Agents Suffolk branch and was awarded Sales Negotiator of the Year in 2010.
Claire was born and brought up in Suffolk, attended Thomas Mills High School in Framlingham and later training to become an accountant and obtaining her AAT qualification. Claire went on to work as Head of Accountancy at two local firms and has over 15 years in the industry.
