Greencore Construction was set up in 2013 by Ian Pritchett and Martin Pike. Our aim was to help self-builders and small developers build high performance, low carbon buildings using natural materials (predominantly hemp, lime and timber).
Rob has a proven track record in production and process management having previously run the factory for Stewart Milne Timber Systems. Rob has been working with offsite manufactured lime-hemp panels for the last five years. During that time, he has refined the manufacturing processes and introduced a strong Quality Assurance culture. The factory runs like a well-oiled machine under Rob’s leadership.
Tom is an architect with both design flare and commercial experience. This combination is rare in the industry. Tom has worked on numerous one-off houses as well as large schemes for national housebuilders during his time at Broadway Malyan Architects. Tom first worked with lime-hemp during a two year period at Lime Technology before he completed his Part 3 exams in 2011. Tom leads the architectural side of the business.
Matt has spent 10 years in the timber framing industry with both Stewart Milne Timber Systems and Sylva Group. As well as timber frame design, Matt has experience of design management, project management and cost control. Matt runs the timber frame design and commercial sides of the business.
We are accredited by the Local Authority Building Control, which ensures that new buildings, conversions, renovations and extensions (domestic or commercial) are safe, healthy and high-performing.
We are finalising the second stage of our accreditation with the Build Off-Site Property Assurance Scheme. BOPAS provides assurance to lenders that properties they may lend against will perform consistently over a durability period of 60 years.
For house builders who build more than 20 houses per year, we also provide a franchise scheme for our unique hemp-lime panel system.
Our franchise is suited to organisations that have the necessary experience to adopt the hemp-lime panel technology – branded as the Biond Construction System – and deliver the technical design service to its clients. A new company would need to gain the expertise and necessary finance to establish a new business.
