His career path soon changed to specialise in Compulsory Purchase. From 2008-2013 he went on to work on some of the highest profile regeneration schemes in the country, on behalf of Council’s, developers and those under threat of losing their homes and business premises.
The drastic inequality of access to good quality professional advice struck him. It became apparent that nearly all Council’s and developers were represented by specialist CPO Surveyors whilst many home and business owners received poor quality advice from non specialists. In 2013, he set up Sawyer Fielding to protect the interests of those at risk of losing their homes and business premises.
