Before co-founding Chappell Green he was Planning and Performance Director at LV=, having been part of the turnaround team that transformed Liverpool Victoria.
He scaled IT operations to meet transformational growth in the business (CAGR of 36% over six years), and then led the CIO central functions for the entire group. These included business and staff engagement, IT communications, budget oversight, planning, strategy, MI reporting, portfolio management, IT risk, and disaster recovery.
Prior to that, he worked at RSA as service owner for its broker business. He managed outsourcers including Accenture and IBM, delivering services to the business across the UK and Europe.
This followed his role as head of IT customer services at RBS Insurance after its acquisition of Churchill Group, where he was IT customer services manager. He led the decommissioning of the Churchill estate, and the migration to the Directline platforms. The project involved managing hunderds of staff successfully during the process.
Prior to co-founding Chappell Green, he consulted for a large Kent-based insurance broker. Before that he was operations director of the Council for Licensed Conveyancers, a UK regulator, where he introduced new working practices and oversaw the start of change management programme.
