Andrew is originally from Barnsley in South Yorkshire. His early career was spent as an Industrial Engineer with UK and American organisations, focusing on productivity, efficiency & work design. In 1988, he returned to full-time education, graduating from The University of Hull in 1992 with a BSc (Hons) Degree and Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology with Occupational Psychology. He took on the role of UK Consultant Psychologist for an Australian Human Resource Consultancy, before becoming independent in 1994. Andrew M Sidebottom Limited was incorporated in England and Wales in August 2013.
Areas of special interest in Business Psychology include: The application of psychometric techniques to the selection, assessment and development of people at work, including Personnel Selection, Team Building, Vocational Guidance / Careers Counselling, Succession Planning, Training Needs, Assessment Centre Design, etc..
