Bill Telford Lead Instructor and Director of High Bird Shooting Limited is an Instructor with The Association of Professional Shooting Instructors (A.P.S.I.). Bill has been shooting since he was 8 years old on his fathers Shropshire syndicate game shoot. His experience in driven game shooting, pigeon decoying and wildfowling is second to none with fifty years of experience. A former Police Specialist Firearms officer whose duties included close armed protection of H.M. The Queen and other members of the Royal family and dignitaries.

High Bird Shootings aim is twofold, firstly to encourage non-shooters, the young and disabled into the exciting sport of shooting. Secondly to enable experienced shooters to improve their skills and hit ratio, in clay or game, making their days shooting more enjoyable.
As well as shooting schools, with the availability of high bird towers, High Bird Shooting also offers a selection of totally private locations where one-to-one instruction is provided to single or group clients to take their first shots in a safe, relaxed environment and introduce them to a lifetime of enjoyment in the shooting field.
All High Bird Shooting instructors are professionally qualified, relaxed and friendly, they have full public liability insurance with your safety being paramount. Bill can accompany you in the field and discreetly instruct you on your first days game shooting to make sure that you get the full benefit of your experience. Loading both single or double gun is something Bill enjoys doing and offers to all clients.

We teach complete novices and advanced shooters the fun of clay shooting and/or game shooting and provide qualified Association of Professional Shooting instruction (A.P.S.I.) in all shooting methods.
At one of our venues Willington Hall Hotel in Utkinton we can provide meals and accommodation, including outdoor activities such as horse riding, with lovely Sandstone Trail walks in Delamere Forest on your doorstep.
