Christopher qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1980 and had over 30 years' experience in surveying and valuing residential property. He was a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and was also on the Governing Council of the RICS (2011-2017). Christopher was a Regulated Valuer and a member of the Independent Surveyors and Valuers Association and Council Member of the ISVA. He started his professional life in London, moving to the New Forest over 20 years ago. In 2000, Christopher opened the Christopher Green & Associates Office based in Fordingbridge and ran his own practice in this area for over 17 years. He worked in both the commercial and residential sectors, specifically residential property surveys and valuations from flats up to large country homes. Christopher, together with his wife Kathryn, ran the team to ensure that the service provided to the client is second to none and since Christopher sadly passed away in August 2017, Kathryn is continuing to run the successful surveying practice Christopher Green & Associates Ltd, as was Christopher's wish.
Toby Plenderleith is an experienced valuer and skilled Chartered Surveyor well-versed in all aspects of professional survey work, both in residential and commercial markets. Toby began his career in Southampton with a well respected firm of Chartered Surveyors and undertook commercial valuation and landlord and tenant work. In 1996 Toby joined a national surveying firm specialising in all aspects of residential valuation and survey work. Recent years were spent with a small private practice based in Ringwood. Toby's workload involved residential surveys and valuations in respect of both conventional and period properties to include valuations for matrimonial and tax purposes together with some commercial bank valuations and landlord and tenant matters. In September 2013 Toby joined Christopher Green & Associates Ltd and undertakes surveys and valuations of residential property and land.
Kathryn is responsible for the administration side of the business and is Director of Christopher Green & Associates Ltd. She began her professional life in Banking, having achieved the BTEC National Diploma in Business and Finance, working for NatWest Bank in Salisbury for 5 years. She then gained her CELTA (TEFL) qualification and spent 13 years in Greece teaching English as a foreign language, returning to the UK in 2006 to work in residential Estate Agency as a negotiator and administrator for a small firm of independent Estate Agents in Salisbury, which is when she met Christopher. She then worked for a well established firm of Estate Agents and Chartered Surveyors in Fordingbridge, in addition to working with Christopher part-time. Kathryn then joined Christopher Green & Associates in 2010 and ensures a friendly, professional first point of contact to all who phone, email or visit the office. She is currently training to qualify as a surveyor herself.
Christopher Green & Associates is an independent company of Chartered Surveyors situated in the north-west corner of the New Forest, based between Salisbury and Ringwood, and located in the town of Fordingbridge.
