He eventually decided the time was right to put all that great experience to good use, and with the help of some very good friends and colleagues, Kevin started training in his own right near Stratford-upon-Avon, then relocated to Shropshire in 2015.
In April 2017, when offered the chance to relocate to Butterton Stables, Kevin seized the opportunity to move the short distance to Newcastle under Lyme in Staffordshire. Butterton Stables provide us with room for more horses, as well as terrific facilities, with purpose-built American-style Monarch barns, top-class gallops, an outdoor arena, and over twenty paddocks to give the horses the chance to relax and play in a natural setting when their work is done for the day.
Kevin's wife Amanda is an important member of the team, working as secretary, and dealing with the business side of things. They are both excited at moving into Butterton Stables to commence the next phase of their career, and hope that interested owners and would-be owners will feel free to come and visit the new yard to take a look at the fantastic set-up and have a chat with us about getting involved.

Kevin Frost Racing is based at the excellent Butterton Racing Stables, located just outside Newcastle Under Lyme in Staffordshire. Our new yard offers fantastic facilities, room for more horses, and extensive gallops - both grass and all-weather, so when the opportunity came along to relocate to Butterton in April 2017, it was an offer that was just too good to turn down. The new location gives us the chance to expand our string and take a step up to the next level, as the yard has virtually every training aid you could wish for.
With Kevin's wealth of knowledge and experience, his skill with horses, and his honest and straight-forward approach, Frost Racing are really looking forward to the opportunities our new yard offers and the chance to build on our previous successes. Butterton Stables are set in tranquil countryside, with acres of turnout paddocks, and yet we are ideally located close to junction 15 of the M6 motorway - in fact the gallops can be seen from the motorway itself. If you have always wondered who trains there, well, it's now Kevin Frost!
Our new location affords us fast access to excellent road links, making the job of getting to the racecourse so much easier. We are ideally placed for travelling to the likes of Bangor, Chester, Haydock, Nottingham, Wolverhampton and even further afield, and of course being close to a major road network should make it easier for owners to come and visit the yard too!
