By 1981 Steve Foster Crane Hire was operating 3 cranes, and had moved the focus of the business from Steel erection to solely Mobile Crane Hire.

Steve Foster Cranes Ltd was subsequently formed in 2013, and is now able to offer mobile crane capacities up to 220 tonnes, a fleet of HGV vehicles, in house storage, and extended office space. We pride ourselves on the ‘can do’ attitude that Steve still instills in all his employees, which in turn means that all our clients receive an unrivalled level of service that others struggle to emulate.
We are a family run business that epitomizes the ‘Big Enough to Cope, Small Enough to Care’ motto. We show pride in everything that we do, and ensure that all our customers are 100% satisfied with the service that we offer.
We are also able to offer HGV transport with vehicles including Lorry loaders, Rigid and Articulated Lorries up to STGO CAT3, including semi-low, flat, extendable and Euroliner trailers.
We are also able to offer on-site Machinery Moving, and our own dedicated covered and external Storage areas to meet all of your lifting, moving and storage requirements.
At Steve Foster Cranes Ltd we offer two options for hiring mobile cranes.
You are free to hire a crane from us under CPA Hire terms and conditions if you have the personnel, experience and ability to adequately plan and supervise the lifting operation in accordance with LOLER98. Under these conditions of hire, we would also expect that you, as the client, provide adequate ‘Hired-in Plant Insurance’ to cover the value of the crane which you are looking to hire, (we can, upon request, provide this for an additional premium).
