almost 40 years ago Carol brought HotelWare to life by supplying crockery and tableware to the people of Leeds. The original warehouse was a small site on Dewsbury Road in Leeds. The excellent customer service and can do attitude is what brought the company to life and one of the main reasons it is still going strong today.
Carol and her husband decided that they were ready to retire. The business was later taken on by the Walton Family in York. Father and Son Simon and Dane took the reigns and still run the business to this day.
With Simon running a successful air conditioning and refrigeration business in York it was only right that with his experience in Hotel Purchasing Dane would take the reigns with making HotelWare a success. He was and still is committed to serving the people of Leeds and York with the excellent service and prices they know. Not only that he was also focusing on expanding across the country. The two companies joined together and the family made the decision to move it to York where they could collaborate effectively. The two companies were based in a small unit in Elvington.
HotelWare has always offered a varied range of products and one that has developed over the years has been cleaning chemicals. With us already having a HotelWare brand, Dane identified it was the right time to launch a division that deals solely with cleaning chemicals, paper and equipment. With the backing of clover chemicals we launched our new catalog and our own brand “Yorkhem”. All delivered on the same Van as the catering supplies. Hence why our old small VW transporter van had to be replaced by a large VW Crafter. onwards and upwards….
2017 saw the Launch of the HotelWare supplies group website. Allowing customers to view their regular bought products and have their own account areas. The website allows us to ship from our warehouse right across the country.
