Alun spent 13 years running the commercial services company of the University of South Wales (UGCS Ltd). This gave him a wide ranging experience of training, consultancy and innovation management both in the UK and internationally. Experiences range from evaluating business plans for new businesses to securing government grants to establishing a network of university training providers to deliver training into China. Some of his key formative experiences involved him leading change management projects. He set up a number of departments, reconfigured others and developed new incomes streams; always profitably. A useful area of expertise for clients has been a very wide range of experiences of generating new income streams across a broad range of business sectors.
Jane established herself as a manager and management/leadership trainer in a FTSE 100 financial services company. She took these experiences and further developed them to provide coaching and training to a portfolio of clients ranging from large corporates to SMEs, voluntary sector organisations to public sector bodies. Jane is qualified to use a wide range of psychometric and profiling tools and is a member of the CIPD.
Richard has a long track record of working with organisations to help them achieve productive change. He has worked with clients in many sectors including pharmaceuticals, finance, manufacturing, local and central government, social care and retailing. He has also led project teams carrying out high-level research and policy assignments which have included a review of mentoring good practice, analyses of labour market statistics, a review of management change tools and techniques, evaluations and cost benefit analyses, and many more. His qualifications include MA and MSc degrees, and he is a fellow of the CIPD.
Kevin is a people development and facilitation practitioner who specialises in leadership and management. With more than 20 years of management experience he has developed a track record of coaching and mentoring people to become outstanding individuals in their chosen discipline and leading organisations to exceed their business targets. Kevin has a deep seated belief that ‘learning’ and ‘winning’ are best achieved when people enjoy what they are doing in the workplace. Kevin brings over 2 decades of experience in the manufacturing sector and holds an MBA. His current client list is extensive, from hospitality sector to housing associations to local authorities and manufacturing.
Kate has developed a track record for delivering change management and business growth through leading and developing teams and individuals. She brings a fresh approach to the training and coaching marketplace which involves a unique style to learning in the workplace. Kate has an absolute passion for engaging and supporting the development of people. She achieves this by creating environments that allow people to challenge their thinking, leading them to fulfil their potential and exceed their business results. Kate has worked in a variety of industries including marketing, estate agents to manufacturing. This has served her well in developing a workload across a wide range of sectors from legal to public sector, tourism to manufacturing.
Pam is a highly experienced mentor of start-up businesses. She spent 12 years at the University of Glamorgan running its business incubator. Over 500
entrepreneurs were supported during this period, with Pam being able to draw on 25 years as a market research professional. This was particularly valuable in assessing business and marketing strategies for new businesses. Pam is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, an Associate of the Market Research Society, holds an MBA and is working towards a PhD (The Development of a Model of Business Pre-Incubation to support Economic Regeneration).
Virginia has 30 years experience of working with people whose first language is other than English. Her experience ranges from being a teacher of English to being the Deputy Director of the International Division of a Russell Group University and a Development Director (fundraising). She then spent 9 years as Director of the Wales International Consortium (Welsh universities working internationally) before embarking on a new venture in research and consulting. She holds a MBA and RSA Diploma TEFL.
Bethan has 23 years experience as an HR professional. She includes Marks and Spencer, the NHS and the University of Glamorgan/South Wales as past employers, with the bulk of that time at Manager or Head of Department level. At heart, Bethan is a 'people' person, which she uses to good effect in the research and evaluation part of our business. She is a first language Welsh speaker, holds a MA in Strategic HR Management and is a Fellow of the CIPD.
