Since 2009 he has been dedicated to North East Business support as a Bids and Tender Specialist, successfully working with hundreds of businesses across the region through his acclaimed workshops and training programmes, and as a hands-on bid and tender writer. In that time he has successfully secured contracts across every sector, including construction, transport and logistics, sport, leisure and facilities management, construction, professional services, a wide range of social and domiciliary care and health services, training, travel, offshore, specialist products and ancillary services, marketing and web, IT, specialist building surveys

Garry's established reputation means that he is trusted by NEPO and the region's Local Authorities to provide supplier workshops and training, and has been asked to run flagship Social Value case studies for the Cabinet Office. He has also been approached by NHS England to support the roll-out of national and regional contracts, including for Dentist and GP services, and being asked by the Office of the Chief Dental Officer to speak at national events.

Based in Redcar, Mel’s background includes running her own business, and working alongside sales, marketing and businesses development teams at senior level in construction and recruitment.

Since 2010, her work as a dedicated business advice professional has enabled her to work alongside hundreds of businesses across many sectors, including delivering hands-on tender and procurement advice on behalf of South Tyneside and Newcastle Councils, front-line delivery of regionally funded programmes, and working closely with Redcar and Cleveland Council in delivering a full range of expert growth support for their local businesses.

Mel has played a key role in some of our most notable bid writing successes, and has been particularly successful in lifting local businesses onto major regional Local Authority and Housing Association frameworks.

Andrew has over 18 years’ experience of private and public sector business development, B2B marketing, and direct sales, including building one the of the region’s most successful and influential business support enterprises.

He has been instrumental in devising and developing major support programmes, regionally influential business events, and national and international sector-specific supply events and trade missions - across such sectors as automotive, rail, construction, food and drink, healthcare, digital creative, energy and aerospace.

Following acquisition he worked in a senior business development role with BE Group – finding and winning major public sector and other contracts, building extensive regional, national, and international networks, and working in direct support of businesses and social enterprises in accessing markets and opportunities. This included with public sector bodies and agencies such as Department for Education, Scottish Enterprise, Leeds City Region LEP, Sport England, Construction Industry Training Board, Cabinet Office, Local Authorities, and the North East LEP.

Now as part of the B2B North team, Andrew brings his own first-hand experience of successfully growing businesses by securing bids and tenders, hands-on experience and success working in direct support of third sector and private enterprise across in every type of business, and extensive experience of regional and national markets and supply chains.
