Unfortunately the ‘traditional’ conservatory polycarbonate roof offers no insulation properties at all making the ‘ too hot too cold ‘ scenario only too common. Most of the suns heat is conducted in the summer into the room making it unpleasantly hot for normal use and conversely in the winter months it can be virtually impossible to keep most conservatories warm because the roof allows any heat to escape.
