economic development, by which I mean creating new economic activity that lasts, that benefits people who need it most, that improves rather than worsens environmental issues, and that helps build a stronger society.

I provide support to public organisations, private businesses and voluntary sector bodies. I always aim to offer practical support, independent advice and informed insight, focussing on the end result – the people and businesses supported and the benefits created – that really matter.

I am an economic development consultant, providing support to help achieve sustainable economic change in the North East of England.

Economic development – creating jobs and growing businesses – is hard. Doing it sustainably – creating real benefits for local people, tackling poverty and minimising environmental impacts – is even harder. That’s where I try to help, bringing over twenty years of experience and a wealth of skills to bear.
