On the Digital end of things, we fostered a department whose sole purpose was to be up to date with digital marketing methodology and best practice. This pillar has grown significantly and is a core part of our business. We are so good at what we do in this area that other online companies asked if we would help and so Tee Tree Digital was born.
Our Digital efforts went beyond marketing though. Our online store became a victim of its success, and so we had to build a custom platform. By doing this in-house, we formed a new development team. "Tee Tree Marketplace" is our custom platform that now powers multiple stores including The Big Issue Shop who work with Social Enterprises to create a kind of "Social Etsy".
In 2015 we moved to a spacious warehouse and converted it into office space. We designed a print room to house our Direct To Garment printers, a specific dispatch area and a brand new embroidery room to accommodate our eight-head embroidery machine. With all of this in place, we opened up to delivering bulk orders of customised clothing for large organisations, businesses, organisations, charities, bands, other online stores etc.
