Amongst her various qualifications is a first degree in Foreign Languages, a Masters’ degree in Human Resource Management, a Level 5 Diploma in Children and Young People Management etc. She worked for several years in Human Resources both in the public and private sectors before leaving to start her own childcare business.
She established the company and its emergency childcare services because of the childcare experiences of the staff she managed, and she saw how it affected both them and the organisation. Her decision was also influenced by her own personal tragedy in 2008 and 2010 which led to a long-term illness.
During her hospitalisation, her children were uppermost in her mind especially as she didn’t have any family close by and could not find the right childcare services to meet her family’s needs. Her harrowing experience got her thinking about other parents in similar circumstances or worse. The idea for SafeHaus UK was born whilst she was in hospital fighting for her life.
Her raison d’être is to ameliorate any stressful situation that parents find themselves. No parent should have to worry unnecessarily about care for their children in whatever situation they find themselves.
