Alternatively, if you want to share knowledge, ideas and movements but need an outlet to do so then get in touch. We facilitate talks, meetups and networking events and can help spread your message.
We hope that bringing people together from various backgrounds, skillsets and expertise will help us move forward and increase opportunities for the people of Stoke-on-Trent.
Stoke-on-Trent is an area in need of improvement and rejuvenation, and we’re looking to local citizens to help us do that.
We worked with Wavemaker to create our first edition of the local cultural Bag-Zine 'Looky Bag'. They were so generous with their time, space and expertise- we would have found it very difficult to do it without them. The 'can do' ethos at Wavemaker is contagious and the relaxed atmosphere they've created is friendly and accepting. During our time at Wavemaker we met many new people pioneering in many different fields, it was inspiring to see people working together to learn from doing and from each other. We love working with Wavemaker and hope to do so again very soon.

I attended a Maker Workshop for 'Laser Cut Christmas Decorations' in Stoke. Alex provided the training and it was hugely interesting and informative. He clearly explained the basics of laser cutting and showed us how to use the Adobe Illustrator software to create our designs. I will certainly be returning to learn some more or make further use of the machine.
We attended Wavemaker for the first time recently as they were helping newly formed Youth Group The Inspired Generation to create a logo and design some T-shirts. The facilities up in their studios are 1st class and the workshop was great fun and also a great learning experience. Emma and the team were extremely welcoming and supportive of the group and we hope to work in partnership on many more things in the future.
