Next Era is led by Terry Bonner who is a Corporate Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing and has 25 years experience in social housing at director and head of service levels. Terry's experience has been gained in Housing Management, Asset Management and Customer Services environments in both the Housing Association and Local Authority sectors. Terry has also been the Deputy Chair of a Merseyside stock transfer organisation.
Terry has acted as "client lead" in respect of housing repairs services and is able to drive performance and troubleshoot where repairs services may be falling short of required performance. As the strategic lead on Asset Management for a large national Housing Association, Terry was able to define roles, accountabilities and implement business processes that brought about positive cultural change, and robust business planning that enabled property investment decisions to be made in the context of the ongoing market viability of the housing stock.
Jean Bray is an Associate of Next Era and has 35 years experience in social housing, specialising in the older persons housing sector and specifically Extra Care. Since 2004 Jean has been self employed, carrying out a variety of roles including leading successful bids for Extra Care housing funds. Prior to this, Jean led a highly successful team managing sheltered housing inclusive of Housing Management functions, budgeting and maintenance. As well as her Associate role, Jean is also an advisor/assessor for the Centre for Supported Housing and is the joint regional lead of the North West Housing LIN.
Danielle Smallwood is a qualified and accomplished Health and Safety professional who has experience of providing Health and Safety Advice, training and project delivery in the social housing sector and has undertaken the role of Health and Safety Advisor for a major north west social landlord. Danielle is also able to provide generalist Health and Safety support in other sectors.
