More recently the owner of Alderley Edge Windows and Doors started his career with Browns of Wilmslow, the renowned building and civil engineering company. This company had a long and illustrious existence, building many of Cheshires landmarks including Hoopers & Barclays Bank in the heart of Wilmslow. It also maintained Manchester Cathedral and many other famous landmarks throughout the region. Richard was part of the joiners shop team on Macclesfield Road, Wilmslow who hand crafted doors, windows and other bespoke items to supply and fit in the local community and throughout Cheshire. The skills and levels of excellence in workmanship is something Rick has taken with him after leaving Browns in 1995 when he joined a local door and window manufacturing company. Having developed special niche markets and directing the sales and workforce of this company, he felt that it was time to show the people of South Cheshire what service and quality in Windows, Doors and Conservatories was all about. The newly founded company of Alderley Edge Windows and Doors is a company that aims to serve the community not just of Alderley Edge but also that of Wilmslow, Prestbury, Macclesfield and the surrounding areas. Rick says “Too many times I have come across companies who are just out there to make a fast buck. They do not care about the customer at all they just want to make money and they don’t care how they do it. Hard selling company reps pressure sell you products that are over-hyped and over priced and especially nowadays an inferior product.
