Formed in 2012 Electrik Development is a small company dedicated to providing its clients with exceptional software development services. Every client relationship is personal to us. We are passionate about the software we develop and take great pride in it. If you work with us we will go the extra mile to ensure that the end result satisfies everyone involved.
We believe that all software should be written with maintainability in mind. User requirements evolve and software that can't evolve with them either gets so out of date it needs to be completely rewritten at great cost or gets worked around by its users causing them no end of frustration. We believe that putting in the extra effort upfront to produce maintainable software pays dividends. Having said that we are aware that in some cases, particularly with existing software, it may not be feasible to make all of the changes that would be required to make something easily maintainable. In these cases our staff will make every effort to improve the maintenance situation at every opportunity where time and cost permit.
At Electrik Development we absolutely believe in defining or discovering requirements up front as this tends to save time and money in the long run. However we also understand that while it is vital to get the broad stroke requirements nailed down early it is equally important to continually re-evaluate requirements throughout the development process. Particularly the smaller ones. Far too many IT projects either fail or run over budget because software is produced to the letter of the requirements rather than what was really required. We don't follow requirements blindly. We will always suggest improvements, alterations and quick win additional functionality wherever we discover it. Whether we believe that this adds benefit to users or will save time in implementation. Even for fixed price contracts we will budget in for small changes in requirements (Though obviously there is a limit.)
At Electrik Development we believe that choosing the correct technologies for a job is by far the most significant architectural decision to be made. There are an ever increasing number of languages, libraries, frameworks and widely recognized approaches to solving a variety of problems. Being able to choose between them and apply them to a client's specific technical and functional needs is of significant importance. At Electrik Development we pride ourselves on staying current on a very wide range of technologies so we are in the best position possible to offer our clients an informed decision. And if we are not sure about something we will be open about it with you and suggest the appropriate investigation or proof of concept work be done in order to come to the correct decision.
We believe that the best working relationships are formed with complete honestly. Working with Electrik Development you will always get our truthful technical opinion regardless of how that opinion may or may not affect future contacts. We will never suggest an approach simply because we have the expertise in a particular area and could gain work by you making a decision in a certain direction.
