ABOUT PETALS (SW) LTD
Sadly the Co-op closed in January 2001, redundancies ensued & the store was subsequently acquired by Tesco to which it still remains today. Petals however, remained a fully functioning business & was re-located as an independent florist shop within the popular city centre West End's Pannier Market Hall.
Shirley purchased the business in March 2001 & employed 3 of the original Co-op staff to accompany her as she could see the potential Petals could offer considering its proven history & dedicated customer following.
Together with the expertise of Shirley & her talented staff, Petals has grown from strength to strength over the years, even during difficult times such as the recent recession, the business still thrives with pride & passion.
Thanks to Shirleys philosophy of providing a friendly & helpful service to all, whether from a query, a single stem or to providing fresh flowers for an elaborate wedding, or even 1000 white fresh roses for Disney's 'Alice in Wonderland', filmed on location at Anthony House, Petals will always provide you with the utmost customer care & attention.
