Hilary worked for North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service for over 11 years as a Fire Safety Inspector, and was responsible for carrying out licensing and fire safety audits of all commercial businesses. During her service she received a Commendation from the Chief Fire Officer for her work in fire safety. Hilary specialises in Fire Risk Assessments and Licensing, and advises on fire safety in houses in multiple occupation (HMO) to ensure that businesses comply with the relevant legislation.
