Parragon Books Ltd., an International publishing company had grown rapidly. With a design team in the UK, Print & Production in China and regional sales offices globally, getting an accurate, up to date view of their sales, stock and distribution channels was critical. This combined with point of sale data allowed for a dynamic stock management system.
Furthermore, there was a strategic and operational need to access management reporting; this would enable informed decision making regarding the profitability of publications and determining the most effective distribution channels.
I started South West Business Intelligence borne from a passion to deliver the
technology to make a positive difference to how businesses operate. I have over twenty years of experience working with an extensive range of technologies including IBM Cognos, SAP Business Objects, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Tableau, Hadoop, SAP Hana and Informatica.
It will be either Fernando or I who will be the lead technical specialist on your project, working closely with you to understand what you need and what we can offer to help you transform your business.
Along with David, I am the other founder member of South West Business Intelligence. I have a driving passion to ensure that business intelligence projects succeed by delivering impactful insight, as a consultancy, I want us to make a real difference.
As well as having over fifteen years of Business Intelligence and performance management experience, I also possess a broad technical skillset covering software development which means I can appreciate the wider benefits that technology can bring to your organisation.
I’m one of the Directors of South West Business Intelligence, specifically delivering project and client management services. My information management experience is primarily in the health sector (both public and private) and more recently managing a more varied portfolio working with SWBI.
I’ve sixteen years of Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse experience providing solutions to a wide variety of clients. During this time, I’ve worked in a variety of roles, from advisory to development, enabling clients to complete their analytical projects successfully.
I have been consulting and providing technical services in the Cognos and Business Intelligence space since 1999 and cut my teeth on the old client based Cognos Products (Impromptu, Transformer and Powerplay) and since then have gained broad experience in most of the Cognos products including Impromptu, Powerplay, Transformer, Architect, Framework Manager, Reportnet, Report Studio, Analysis Studio and Query Studio up to and including the current versions as well as having exposure to the Microsoft BI Stack. Industry exposure includes Banking, Insurance, Not for Profit, Retail, Gaming, Retail and Manufacturing.
