About Attentive Care Experts
Attentive Care Experts started life as the brainchild of managing directors Kirsty Metcalf and Nick James. Together, they were involved in the day to day care of Kirsty's ill Grandmother, Frances. As time went on it became clear that Frances required a more professional care service. Frances was keen to stay in her own home and we set about looking for a suitable homecare provider. We tried a few but something was missing. It didn't seem as though the carers were bothered about Frances. They didn't do anything wrong, but they certainly didn't make Frances feel special, loved or valued. To us, these are basic requirements of any care package.
We got thinking, what if we could provide carers for people. We know what service users want because we have been service users ourselves. We understand what it's like to be a service user. We understand what is required to look after people. We understand the necessity for involved care and to look after people as individuals. We understand that homecare is not just another job – it's a way of life.
Kirsty and Nick set about creating a family run, innovative, fresh, dynamic, intuitive, service user led company. Attentive Care Experts Ltd was born.
All our carers are briefed in advance of all new service users and are made fully aware of the individual needs and preferences of the service user, including their medical history. This brief involves careful preparation to provide tailored support and meet the special requirements of each individual and family.
