Growing from strength to strength, in 2016 we launched not one but two new sister companies, to enhance our ever expanding event hire empire. With an increasing demand for our Mobile Bar Hire solutions, it was a logical decision to set up a side of the business specifically dedicated to that.

We have two sister brands supporting Blast Event Hire; Blast Mobile Bar Hire, which focuses specifically on our Event Bar Hire Solutions, and Bristol Gas Supplies – Bristol’s largest independent bottled gas company.

One hungover Friday as a Loughborough university Business student in 2011, the coursework was set and Blast was created! Flash forward a few years and Josh has now grown this idea, into being the founder of a very successful Event Equipment Hire company. Starting out in the Bristol events industry at a young age has enabled Josh to bring an up-to-date and modern approach to his business, that clients running events today can relate to. He is constantly working on the business development of Blast and exploring other avenues to keep up with the ever-growing industry. He oversees the day to day duties of all team members, including the logistics and scheduling of the delivery runs and general upkeeping of the warehouse and company ensuring that everybody is doing their job!
Emily joined Blast in 2015, her first day also being Blast’s first day in their new warehouse. Coming in as an apprentice from the hospitality industry Emily brought a breath of fresh air with her, making the three offices she has gone through feel new, different, exciting but most importantly – organised. She has left a trail of organisation and thoroughness behind her, with new processes being implemented at Blast since her joining resulting in an overall much more efficient and effective organisation. When she isn’t processing and co-ordinating hire jobs, she is assisting Josh with the exploring of new projects and other avenues, using her creativity for the marketing side of the company and searching for new ways to progress with Blast.
Lily is the youngest team member at Blast but you wouldn’t know this from her experience and knowledge that she brings to the team! Lily is responsible for the admin side of the company and ensures that no order gets released before receiving all necessary contact details and delivery information required, which enables a smooth delivery process on the day! She assists in the taking and processing of orders and will even go into the warehouse to help pick the orders when she isn’t too busy in the office! She has many other “background” duties in her admin role and is essentially the cog for keeping what is naturally a chaotic industry, organised!
Esther is Blast’s bookkeeper and is responsible for ensuring that all the bills and staff get paid on time and in full and the tallying and cross-referencing of all payments in and out of the company. Additionally, she is the person that tries (and fails) to reign in Josh’s purchases of new equipment and vehicles etc. for the company! Although Esther is only in the office for Blast one day a week, she is not any less of an asset to the company!
Blast has everything you require to serve ice-cold draught and bottled drinks at your event. From a BBQ for 20 people to a corporate event for 2000, we have the equipment and expertise to help.
Our sister company Blast Mobile Bar Hire has a range of bars and packages to suit any requirements and if you can’t see what you are looking for, please ask! After many years in the mobile bar industry, we are confident that through our huge range of equipment, our expertise and our large number of contacts we will be able to help.
Unlike some other mobile bar companies, this is not a ‘weekend job’ or an add on to our company, it is how we entered the events industry and we provide bars for a number of very large events.

The most flexible option, we will provide the bar with as little or as much as you need, but you will be supplying all the drinks.
