Master’s degree in Intercultural Communication and International Business
A fluent French speaker (native language English), her own mixed culture background and her experiences of living in France and Canada, have given her personal and professional insight into the issues involved in cultural shift. A practical understanding of cultural difference, backed by in-depth knowledge of communications theory, enables Anneliese to support clients as they manage the interface between language and the many layers of culture – including professional, organisational and national. Anneliese helps her clients to fast track this ‘insider’ knowledge
Clients appreciate Anneliese’s particular ability to meet the needs and objectives of diverse professional groups and organisations. She is particularly adept at helping clients to enhance interpersonal communications which build solid relationships, encourage initiative and open-up opportunity.
Anneliese enjoys working collaboratively. Pursuing her specialist interest in culture and diversity, Anneliese recently co-authored a self-help guide for international medical graduates working in the UK (‘So You Qualified Abroad’, Pub. Radcliffe 2014). She is currently collaborating on another book – a practical guide to effective communication in teams. On larger programme deliveries she collaborates with other coach-facilitators, notably her Paris-based colleague, Kathleen Brown-Noblet.
“My coaching practice is grounded in the firm belief that you, the client, are the expert in your life and work. You possess the creativity, intelligence, and resourcefulness you need, but not always the time to think about how you will bring about the changes you want to make.
A coaching partnership: For me, the coaching relationship is ‘co-active’ – a personal and dynamic relationship in which the coach and the client are active collaborators, working together for the purpose of meeting the client’s objectives. My role as your coach is to help you remain focussed on your needs, values and aspirations, encourage you to set effective and challenging personal goals, and accompany you in finding ways of achieving those goals.
Making the move forward: Client coaching objectives are wide-ranging: career change; launching into a new life; reducing stress; achieving a better work-life balance; managing challenging conversations more effectively; confidence building; enhancing relationships within the team; leveraging cultural diversity for team success; managing change, stepping up to a leadership role; communicating the vision at national and international level…but my focus remains the same –
My experiences of living in France and Canada have given me personal as well as professional insight into the issues involved in culture shift. My approach is both intuitive and practical. At the same time what I offer is built on an in-depth knowledge of communications theory. Much of what I do in global organisations also focusses on the impact of culture on communication. Clients tell me that being able to understand the technical detail of what is happening on the ‘inside’ when we are communicating across cultures (personal, professional, organisational and national…) is both liberating and empowering, providing the language to talk about cultural difference in a non-threatening and positive way.

Like many others, when I decided to start my own business, I thought long and hard about the name. Finally Dialogue Links presented itself naturally – as a noun and a verb, a state of being connected and a dynamic activity.
