Prestige Paintworks was set-up in 2009 by Chris Pursall. After 25 years working at accredited bodyshop and accident repair centres in the South East, including a nine year stint at a BMW accredited bodyshop, Chris was becoming more and more tired of employers’ focuses and fixations on profit margins rather than the quality of the work produced.
Since the company was set-up, Chris hasn’t looked back. Employing a team of highly skilled panel beaters, painters and engineers who all share Chris’ methodical, detailed and thorough approach.
Prestige Paintworks is becoming renowned for its work within the automotive restoration industry for being anything but the norm. With such a high level of quality and detail especially for the Jaguar and Aston Martin marques, leading marque specialists are entrusting Prestige Paintworks with workflow they themselves cannot cope with. Chris is still as hands-on today with restorations as he was eight years ago. His passion and duty of care will ensure that every motor is looked after from start to finish.
Prestige Paintworks will undertake any aspect of vehicle bodywork repair from a blemish to a full body restoration, from a car dent to a colour change

One of the many projects our team are currently working on is a complete nut and bolt restoration for a private collector of a 1958 Aston Martin DB 2/4 Mk 3 Drophead (one of only a few in the UK) that was parked in the previous owner’s garage in 1973 and was only re-discovered on his passing in 2014. It was sold later that year through the Aston Martin Bonhams auction with a guide price of £50k-£60K. Not surprisingly it fetched considerably more due to its rarity and will be a truly stunning car when completed with practically every piece of the steel substructure requiring remaking using old school traditional methods.
All our classic, prestige and historic restoration projects are recorded photographically from start to finish so the journey of the vehicle is always well documented. We are fortunate enough to have one of Europe’s leading infinity studios just a stone’s throw from our classic restoration facility, making it possible to provide some truly stunning imagery of your vehicle once the restoration is complete.
