During his time at Majestic Wine, David was instrumental in the implementation of one of the first Windows EPoS systems in the country. This instilled in him a deep level of expertise and enthusiasm for retail technology that has never gone away. That understanding was noted and David was subsequently head hunted by the software company that supplied the Majestic Wine system, Poise Associates. David was initially recruited by Poise as a software developer and quickly moved up through the ranks ending up finally as a Director and shareholder. In March 2012 David acquired sole ownership of what was to become the successor company, Advanced Retail (UK) Ltd.
Majestic’s ‘customer first’ ethos is something that David has taken to heart throughout his career and has driven everything he has done both prior to and since founding Advanced Retail. His initial retail experience coupled with in depth technology expertise has given him a unique customer focused perspective when providing retail business solutions. Andrew is a software engineer, turned entrepreneur, with more than 25 years of executive and general management experience. Andrew is a specialist in building high growth companies where he has a track record of delivering rapid profitable growth and successful exits. He has started 8 businesses during his career and has coached and helped dozens of others as a Non Exec Director. He currently works and sits on the boards of a number of businesses including Advanced Retail where he has been given the role of Chairman to support successful growth.
Previously Andrew has held a number high-profile business roles, spearheading major international sales and marketing initiatives for UK & US-based corporations. Andrew founded the international operation of Vocus in London and as International Managing Director grew it from nothing to a £multi million business with offices in the UK, Germany, Thailand and Hong Kong and resellers worldwide and which was subsequently successfully floated on the NASDAQ.
Prior to Vocus, Andrew founded Cyveillance International and built sales and operations both direct and indirect, around the world. Andrew has founded and run a number of software and service companies, notably spending 5 years in Hong Kong during the 90’s where he built and then successfully sold a logistics and warehouse management software company from scratch. Andrew is now working hands on with Advanced Retail to provide expertise to support the smooth growth of the business.

Paul joined Advanced Retail with more than 35 years’ experience in Retail Technology Sales specifically in ERP and EPOS software solution sales. As a sales professional, he has been responsible for both new business sales and Account Management, from the early days of retail technologies to the advanced technologies of today.
Paul’s profession has spanned a number of retail software businesses. In his earlier career he sold EPOS solutions to numerous retailers including Millets and Paperchase before moving into retail ERP solutions, retail loyalty, business intelligence and customer analytics, mobile and card payment solutions.
Paul joined Advanced Retail because as well as having identified the technology platform as being one of the best on the market today, he, like the rest of the management team, likes to build strong and long term relationships with customers. These are built around an understanding of needs and a desire to create business solutions that deliver clear business returns and customer satisfaction.
Gareth really understands both the human and technical aspects of any new technology adoption ensuring the smoothest handover. Gareth has extensive experience in ITIL and PRINCE2 (certified practitioner) practices that will ensure the smooth running of complex implementations both to time and budget. With experience and an ethos of providing 24×7 support, Gareth is focused on ensuring that the whole business delivers the highest level of customer satisfaction.
