All drivers will have a copy of a handbook containing relevant information required to carry out their duties professionally and in line with Company policy

The Company will provide a 24 hour helpline to be used in cases of emergency

Try to go direct to the coach hire company. There are plenty of brokers, who look like they are a coach company, but who are simply a middle man. These companies add cost to your booking and as they do not operate vehicles themselves, may not be in a position to help if there is a change to your plans or a vehicle breakdown. Brokers will generally quote you a price, then when you have paid, will try to source an operator to provide the service for less, allowing the broker to profit from the difference. This business model drives down the rate, and quality, of the vehicle you will travel on. At Passenger Plus we work with other, quality assured operators, but as we run our own vehicles we understand what can legally be done.
All Passenger Plus vehicles were new in November 2012 and are top of the range Mercedes products, however coaches do have a long working life and it is not uncommon for coaches of up to 15 years of age to be used on front line work.
We are members of CoachMarque and Busk Simply Safe, two independant organisations that audit our vehicles, systems and procedures.

Ask for pictures of vehicles to be e-mailed to you so that you can be sure the vehicles are clean and undamaged. Quality operators will have a recognisable fleet livery with the company name displayed prominently, and smart uniformed drivers. At Passenger Plus we understand that we very often transport your customers and know that the first impression counts!
A good coach company will be more than happy to discuss your requirements and provide a free quote, but be sure you are comparing like for like. Your safety is our priority and at Passenger Plus we have invested in the latest vehicles equipped with top of the range safety features.
All of our fleet are equipped with seatbelts, ABS brakes, and stability control and, on larger vehicles, secondary braking systems, making our vehicles some of the safest on the road.
Training at Passenger Plus is always on-going. Our drivers are enhanced CRB checked, working towards NVQ level 2 within their first 6 months with us, and all hold certificates of professional competence.
This system also monitors braking, acceleration and cornering, and provides the driver with information on the efficiency and safety of their driving, making your journey both comfortable and safe.

Passenger Plus drivers gain NVQ Level 2
Mark Homewood, Allison Drury and Russell Copland are the three latest drivers in our team to gain the NVQ Level 2 qualification in customer care.
At Passenger Plus we like to be in control. How useful would it be if we knew exectly where every vehicle was at any time, what time it would reach its destination and whether there would be any traffic delays that we should avoid?
In the cab of each vehicle we have our TomTom professional navigation devices linked to the vehicle tracking system. These devices find the quickest routes, avoid traffic jams and prevent inefficient stop-start driving. They also help each driver to adopt a more fuel-efficient driving style by providing real-time Active Driver Feedback on speed, steering, braking and engine idling. Our systems are custom written for us, so our navigation takes into account vehicle dimensions and weight to ensure that any route taken is suitable for the size of vehicle.
