Homecare Provider
Founders of Maison Care
Maison Care was founded in 1990 by Roy and Ruby Dias, they both were registered nurses in the learning disability and Mental Health field, that worked in large institutions in Colchester. They were both strongly against institutional care which was typical of that time whereby people with learning disabilities had a lack of freedom and were not able to exercise their rights.
Saresta and Serenade was their first ever service, soon the demand for these homes and services developed further. They have now transformed the lives of over 30 people with learning disabilities across England. Although the name of the organisation may have changed through the years most recently in 2013 when we became simply 'Maison Care’ - the passion, belief and values that drive our work remains the same.
They believe there is enthusiasm and energy throughout the homes , at all levels and they are driven to ensure that quality development is embedded into the ethos of Maison Care.

This is a very overdue email to thank you for the service you and everyone at Maison Care have given my family since we first made contact with you last year.
I just can’t believe how lucky we were to find Maison Care. Sam, you were the driving force in planning a well thought out, slow paced transition for James which was so important for him. Your knowledge and expertise were absolutely crucial and I can’t thank you enough for the effort and attention to detail you put into James’ care plans. It meant everyone understood how best to support James from the outset.
