Our founders are Thangaraj (Raj) Senniappan and Will Ferguson. They work with a highly skilled team of therapists to provide you with the best possible home rehabilitation services in Berkshire, London and the south east.
Raj moved to England from India and founded Therapies on Thames Ltd in 2012. He’s worked in both the public and private sector, helping clients suffering from physical, mental, emotional issues and developmental disabilities to get better after illnesses and to lead independent and satisfying lives.
He said: “My grandmother was a remarkable lady who was always active. She was driving at 92 and lived on her own in her house until she passed away. She inspired me to encourage others to remain active and healthy, and not let age stop her from doing what she wanted to.”
After gaining a BSc in physiological studies and an MSc in rehabilitation science (physiotherapy), Will worked at the Royal Berkshire Hospital (RBH) in Reading on ward rotations, part of that involved working with older patients and helping plan their discharge home.
He worked with Raj at RBH and later suggested he join him at Dunedin Hospital, Reading. Will was working in the musculoskeletal clinic and on the inpatient wards, while Raj provided occupational therapy on the wards to help manage patients with social needs.
Working together made them realise a need for private home rehab and Therapies on Thames was born.
