Who We Are
We are a company which specialises in helping clients in every aspect of their struggle to obtain NHS Continuing Healthcare funding.
It was also revealed in the Which? investigation that a number of Primary Care Trusts (PCT’s) now referred to as Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG’s) are failing to provide potential applicants for funding with all the information that they require to pursue their claim.
This is a complex, multi-faceted process with many grey areas. The individual should have been informed as to the aims of the assessment process every step of the way. In all probability this will not have happened – they need expert help.
Even when funding has been granted, assessments are conducted annually or when there is a step change in the individual’s health. This means funding might be withdrawn at any time. The way we work takes into account this possibility when we are compiling the case for funding. Where applicable our solicitors will retrospectively reclaim care home fees which have wrongly been paid, plus any appropriate compensation.
We are unique in this approach.
How We Help and Why We Differ
In the Initial stages this is not a legal process but one of forming opinions on the extent of healthcare needs. Should the case need legal input at any stage, we are perfectly placed to bring in our solicitors and barristers as and when the need arises.
Are you paying tens of thousands of pounds every year for what should be a FREE NHS service? Have you had to sell your property to fund this? This money may be reclaimable.
They looked at the number of people receiving funding per a population of 50,000 per PCT, now referred to as Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG’s) It was found that 8 times as many of those who live in Plymouth received funding than those who lived in Essex. Further examination revealed other significant variations. Sheffield funded 112 per 50,000 against only 25 living in Oxfordshire.
In our experience there are many people who have been wrongly assessed and deemed ineligible for funding. These people will have had to use savings, pensions and in some cases, even sell their home to fund their care, all of which has taken a lifetime of hard work to obtain.
They should have been informed as to the aims of the assessment process every step of the way. In all probability this will not have happened – they need expert help.
