In 2017 Contrec are proud to be the benchmark for process and petroleum instrumentation. Formed over 30 years ago to develop the first electronic flowmeter displays for Shell in Australia, at a time when mechanical gear driven displays were the norm. Contrec quickly began to see demand for their equipment rise due to increased automation and the need for improved performance with reduced maintenance cost and downtime.
Contrec began to expand into new markets, providing batch controllers into food and beverage industries and battery powered instruments into the remote Aussie outback where power supplies were not feasible. Soon after this, we began exporting these exciting solutions further afield, to the USA and Europe and Africa. Dedicated offices were formed to provide local technical support and stockholding and Contrec continued to develop solutions for tanker loading systems incorporating additive injection and office software.
