Peter answered my emergency call; my daughter’s horse was down with colic. I was not one of Peter’s clients at that time, but he came immediately. Peter treats my horses with calm, kind, efficiency. He explains options, we make decisions together, and he is generous with his time which is reflected in his accounts. He and Kate, his Practice Manager, are contactable, communicative and considerate of their clients’ busy lives. I am thankful to be a client of Sclater Equine.
I have been using Peter for over 7 years now. We have American Quarter Horses and have had some quite interesting cases for Peter to deal with including a grass allergy and a broken pelvis. Peter has always been open minded and very sympathetic with the horses (and me!), meaning we could work together to get horses fit and well where sometimes hope may have been lost. We have had to use some ‘alternative’ remedies in some instances and Peter has always been happy to work with other practitioners to get the best results for the horse. I hope I never have to move too far away from his area as I would be lost without all his help!

The practice has invested in first rate diagnostic equipment. Our direct digital x-ray and ultrasound scanner systems are state of the art market leaders ensuring rapid, precise interpretation of injuries at your premises. A specialist veterinary endoscope system is predominantly used for further investigation of respiratory tract issues, but is also excellent for other areas such as the urinary, reproductive and digestive tracts.
