I have worked within the media industry for the last 23 years – 21 of which have been with Lynn – working over this time on all kinds of local and national advertising projects. The majority of my career to date has been working for two larger privately owned companies for which I have helped develop new sales products and build new sales departments. When Lynn and I discussed the setting up of our own business, we felt excited and confident that we could make a success of it and now, two years on, we are really pleased that we made the decision to do it.
After over 20 years in advertising and working with everyone from sole traders to large corporate clients within the health and education sectors, I felt I had gained along with my partner Carl enough experience to push forward and set up our own family business. 3 Media has given me an opportunity to work around a hectic family life while still doing the job I love! Dealing with independent estate agents means I’m speaking to like minded individuals who run family businesses and are keen to succeed. As a growing business, my role has developed and I take great pride in working with the team from the sales department right through to production.
At the start of 2015 I had the opportunity to join 3Media and could not wait to be part of this fantastic team of individuals. They all work for each other and share the common goal in supporting the unique ethos Carl and Lynn push. It’s about being better. Doing it right and most importantly when things go wrong as they inevitably do in any industry they feel this is when your integrity is really measured.
In my spare time I like walking our family friend an Old English Bulldog named Rita. I also like watching movies and spending time with my Partner Melanie who is also part of the 3 Media family.
As a technical “Jack of all trades”, my role is to create solutions for the business and to bring value to our clients. With over 20 years’ experience in the geek world, covering IT, Audio Visual and Software Development, I can turn my hand to most things and build bespoke solutions that we hope you will find beneficial to your businesses. I am normally found locked in a dark room with lunch pushed under the door. My skills compliment the strong sales and artwork teams and help us provide exciting, innovative and engaging products that can embrace latest technology.
Having worked within the Public & Private sector and travelled the world securing media I am looking forward to bringing that expertise to 3 Media. I have worked with Carl & Lynn in various roles over the last 25 years and when the opportunity presented itself to work with them in their family business and spread the word on the fantastic product they deliver it was an easy decision to make.
In my spare time I have recently opened a barbers shop with my daughter and we are already looking to expand based on the success!
As Carl’s eldest daughter I have been heavily involved in 3 Media from day 1. My primary role is within the Graphic Design department where I enjoy working with the clients and designing their adverts to gain maximum exposure and the most eye-catching display on the folders. I also work with estate agents, ensuring that their information is set out correctly and that the folders are a professional addition to their brand. I have now also taken on the role of looking after PR and Marketing for 3 Media and look forward to helping develop the company over the upcoming years.
I worked with Carl and Lynn at another organisation for seven years where my role involved everything from accounts to production on a national project for schools and the NHS. When I was offered the job to work with them both again, I felt there was a real opportunity to develop my skills and now head up the finance and accounting department as well as overseeing the production team.
My role keeps me involved in the fast paced and exciting day to day running of the business and working with a dedicated small team. We are a real family concern as Carl is my brother! In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my two girls and my partner. I also enjoy running and badminton.
Production
In my free time I enjoy doing a variety of activities with friends and family but sport is one of my main loves and I keep fit and healthy by playing football for Preston North End ladies.
I have had the pleasure of working for 3Media since April 2014. My position in customer services is great, I love the job as every day is different and it gives me great job satisfaction. I’m often tasked with other duties within the company and really feel that in the short space of time I have been here I have developed many new skills and look forward to my future at 3Media.
