During her time as an INSET provider, teacher, author and manager, Gilda gained a wealth of varied experience, spanning 40 years, in the field of education and management.

Starting as a teacher in 1972, her work in primary schools ranged from class teaching in Foundation Stage to the end of KS2. Throughout Gilda's time in school, she looked for ways to encourage children to achieve their potential. She started to develop systems that would help schools match resources to children so that both schools and children would get appropriate support.

Working as an independent consultant has provided the opportunity for Gilda to get involved with many different projects that have included working with national teams, writing published course materials and working collaboratively with universities involved with teacher training.
