Greenspace Ecological Solutions is an independent ecological consultancy based in the South East of England. We offer a range services including; a wide range of habitat and protected species surveys, European Protected Species advice and licence applications, Management Plans, BREEAM, EcIA, site monitoring and habitat creation. Our commitment to providing cost effective solutions drives the company forward whilst ensuring positive results for ecology. By offering a bespoke service in every instance, clients can be confident that the resulting report will fit the exact requirements of their development and will not be a one size fits all solution to an often unique situation.
Our understanding of current legislation and good practice guidelines enables us to successfully mitigate for ecology in a pragmatic and realistic manner, this keeping costs down and ecological benefits up. Created by the two company directors, one with a background in ecology the other in business and customer care, the company aim is simple; provide clear, concise, forward thinking ecological services & great customer care to clients whilst building a strong dynamic team who deliver. This formula has allowed the company to grow and we are pleased to have a large and varied client base ranging from statutory organisations, local authorities, architects and developers, as well as individual land and property owners.
In 2016 we were proud winners of The Build Magazines Sustainable Building Awards 'Best Ecological Solutions Company and Innovation in Green Infrastructure’ for the South East of England. This is a true credit to our team and we thank them greatly for this.
As a company we understand the challenges our clients often face when planning, designing and implementing ecological requirements within a scheme or build, yet pride ourselves on finding resolutions to even the most complex scenarios. We guide clients through the project and provide informed liaison with LPA, Natural England and other appointed contractors when required, every project is appointed with a Lead Ecologist which has the ability to refer to the team’s individual specialties.

Greenspace Ecological Solutions (GES) is an ecological consultancy with a commitment to providing ecologically sound and cost effective solutions to both the private and public sector. Through the provision of a full range of survey techniques, our team strive to aid and assist individuals and organisations in their ecological requirements. We approach each project with a wealth of practical and technical experience, this enabling us to guide and advise you through your project and planning application.
Services offered include Extended Phase 1 Habitat, Hedgerow, River Corridor and Woodland Surveys, plus a full range of protected species surveys including bats, badgers, reptiles, great crested newts, otters, water voles, dormice and barn owl. Through close consultation with our clientele, we regularly provide mitigation strategies, gain EPSM Licenses and write chapters of BREEAM and EcIA for a range of varying projects.
