The most important resource any organisation has is its staff, and we are incredibly fortunate to have a long serving and well established team (many of whom have been with us for over 10 years).
We are a highly-qualified team that is always challenging itself and striving towards excellence. This means our high standard of care is consistently improving due to the degree of experience, knowledge and the shared goals of our staff.
Our aim is to provide a safe, warm, caring, stimulating and inclusive environment based on mutual respect and tolerance to enable each child in our care to flourish and realise their individual potential and are always encouraging children to celebrate their successes. We achieve this through a carefully planned program of child centred learning opportunities using the children’s ideas and opinions as a starting point. Warm, close relationships with adults are central to this and uniquely here at CDN, we allow even the youngest children to choose their own key worker.
The key workers are also responsible for making formative and summative assessments to track the children’s development and together with parents to plan the next steps for each child individually.
Our partnership with our parents is outstanding and we are completely invested in the relationship we have with the families who use our service. There are regular stay and play sessions, parents’ evenings, social events, parents’ workshops and we have a CDN parents’ support group that holds regular meetings to discuss topics and issues of our parents’ choosing. Thank you so much for looking after Tilly during her time at nursery. She settled in so well and really enjoyed coming. Mostly thanks to all the good work you do making the children feel happy. Hopefully we’ll see you all soon when Eddie comes to see you in the future.

My daughters currently attend Carrington Day Nursery. Iris is in the baby room and Lillie is in Pre-School.
