Director of Hi-Tech Motorsport, Mick Mobberley, has enjoyed a vast motorsport career and therefore has had the privilege of working on a wide variety of racing and performance cars. Starting at Motor Racing Services at the age of 17, Mick then went onto work at Midland Racing Partnership running Formula Juniors & Formula 2’s, before moving to Lola Cars working on T70’s and GT40’s
In 1986 Mick began Hi-Tech Motorsport and with his endless car knowledge he has had the privilege of running Ian Flux and Sean Walker in Sports 2000 before moving onto Group C Cars and British Formula 3 to name but a few.
Over the last 8 years Hi-Tech Motorsport have been busy re-developing their race team with Miles Griffiths at the forefront of the movement to the circuits, whilst still maintaining the rolling road and tuning area of the business. Since Miles’ involvement, Hi-Tech have successfully prepared Formula Juniors (including Lurani Championship winning car 2014, driven by Johnathan Hughes) and a number of Cooper’s including John Bond-Smiths T51 which won the HGPCA Championship in 2013, plus many many more.
Hi Tech Motorsport provides the full racing package including engine tuning, transportation and trackside support.
The company was founded by Mick Mobberley who started his motorsport career in 1962 at the age of 17 at Motor Racing Services in Kinver and after 24 years working in the racing industry founded Hi-Tech Motorsport in 1986. Hi-Tech has prepared and supported a variety of cars over the years from Sports 2000 to Group C and in more recent years Historic Grand Prix cars. Hi-Tech also offers Rolling Road Tuning for all cars including Power Tests, Diagnostics and Re-mapping.
