About Insignia Racing
Insignia Racing was founded with the desire to provide not only an enjoyable and competitive experience of horseracing but also a high level of service for its members. Tina Dawson came up with the idea in the Summer of 2010 with the intention of combining a racing experience aimed at competing at the top level, whilst retaining an intimacy and, above all, great days out. That led to her approaching a trainer with experience, a track record of working with champions and an ethos centered around ownership enjoyment.
Insignia Racing's Syndicate Manager Tina Dawson has spent her working life in and around racehorses and the bloodstock industry.
Tina's background in the racing industry and her passion for the sport led to the inception of Insignia Racing in the Autumn of 2010. She worked with Mick Channon when they were both Directors of The National Stud and knowing that they have similar views on the industry, Tina approached the West Ilsley handler with her vision of launching a brand new racing syndicate.
The values of Insignia Racing ("Exceptional equines, superior service and fantastic fun") are ideals that Mick prides himself on at West Ilsley and he was delighted to accept the offer to become Insignia Racing's first trainer in its very first season on the track.
In addition, Mick is as serious about having fun as he is about racing and he concedes that the highs and lows that the sport provides make enjoyment an essential part of the game. If it wasn't so, he admits that what little hair he has left would have departed long ago!

Insignia Racing strives to provide seasoned racing enthusiasts and newcomers alike with the opportunity to enjoy the excitement of racehorse ownership. Winning races and competing against the sport's elite is Insignia's ultimate goal, but ownership is also about seeing horses develop and progress both on the gallops and on fun filled days at the races.
Insignia Racing charges an "all-in" share price. That way owners know exactly where they are. All eventualities are factored into the cost, all income from shares, prize money, appearance money and eventual sale proceeds go into that syndicate's pot, all costs are taken out, and if there is anything left at the end of the syndicate lifetime, that is shared amongst the owners. Thus far, all Insignia Racing Syndicates have returned some funds back to their owners.
