Just who are Digital Leaf?
Digital Leaf is a new, independent company, publishing children’s books and apps.
In 2012 we began making our stories in traditional paperback form too. While we are excited about the digital opportunities of the age, we also love the timeless qualities of printed books which have their own magic. For children’s sake we hope they remain around in healthy quantities into the forseeable future.
How we can help you build an app to bring your story to life
We transform static stories both into printed books and dynamic apps. This takes an understanding of what makes good, interactive storytelling as well as plenty of design and programming capability. Digitally we focus on delivering for the Apple suite of products, but if you are looking to publish for Android or kindle please ask.
You’ve written your own story and would now like to get it out into the digital world. You may be published or never have been in print before but have a great story that needs further development. We can help. From story development through to building the app and on to marketing it, we’re keen to hear from storytellers of all kinds.
Meet the people making it happen
Neil is Digital Leaf’s Managing Director. His background is in design and marketing though he has specialised in digital (ever since there was such a thing).
Co-ordinating the many different requirements of a modern day app and book publisher his role is multi-faceted and ranges from managements of accounts to app development management. He happily straddles the worlds of business and design and is as valuable creatively as any other member of the team with much of the company’s branding and presentation down to him.
Dustin is Digital Leaf’s Writer/Editor-in-chief. As a partner he is involved in everything from assessing submitted manuscripts to project management to reading new submissions and nurturing new business. He is at his happiest editing a rhyming story but is pretty happy the rest of the time too.
With a background working as copywriter in the children’s education sector, Dustin is also the writer of Digital Leaf’s debut title, ‘Feed-‘Em Fred’, which was inspired by his only son, William.
Making a difference
It is Digital Leaf’s devoted aim to create some of the best children’s applications and stories in the world. We intend to light up children’s lives, stimulate them to laugh, to think and to grow. And not just children. Our stories are aimed at bringing whole families together, promoting ideas of health, happiness and love, the things that make life such a great adventure.
