Mark has spent the majority of his working life in the construction industry working with Architects, designing and detailing and writing the specifications for projects. This means that Mark is highly experienced with many quality construction products and the overall processes from feasibility study through to completion of working drawings.
In October 2017 MARLIN Design was awarded the Harlow Civic Society Architectural Design Award, for the extension and refurbishment project at 54 Old Road, Harlow. The award was presented by Professor Glen O'Hara, Professor of Modern and Contemporary History at Oxford Brookes University and nominated by the residents of Harlow. The citation stated 'This project shows how it is possible to enlarge an external envelope and yet retain the integrity of its original form. An updated and tasteful character has also been added through the colours and materials chosen for the refurbishment.'
