ABOUT YOTOPIA LTD

Many of our teachers have further qualified through 160-hours of specialised Yotopia training. The training was designed, written and taught by experienced movement specialists, yoga teachers, body-work specialists and anatomy teachers – all highly trained in the latest understanding of fascia scientific principles, including Alexander Filmer-Lorch, Joanne Avison, Linda D’Antal and Robert Filmer.

His classes are described as rejuvenating, dynamic, and chilled, and his teaching is clear, concise and mindful, with the focus on the breath, alignment and bringing you into a state of inner peace. Dirish leads his life by honouring his intention to help others, and becoming more conscious within thus becoming more aware outward. He is influenced by multiple yogic disciplines and teachers from the past, present and future. He believes that experience is life and life is the experience which is the greatest teacher.

Emi Takahashi Tull is a dedicated Dharma Yoga teacher with both 200hr and 500hr Dharma Yoga teacher certificates. Most of her life has been involved one physical discipline or another: including ballet, martial arts and yoga. Her classes incorporate challenging Shiva Namaskar Vinyasa. She pays careful attention to the students’ individual needs and gives adjustments, variations and modifications to help them deepen their practice physically, mentally and spiritually. She offers other yogic techniques including chanting to lead students towards true goal of yoga.

Her style draws strongly from her background but also infuses the yogic traditions of Ashtanga, Yin, Rocket, Kundalini and Hatha. She uses the classical tradition of dance mixed with the principles of Yoga in a free flowing way, allowing new shapes to take place, but also accepting and embracing what may be found, in places hidden deep within. She hopes to inspire the joy of movement to all living beings, for us all to find our inner dancer. Anything in life can be a dance. We are all gurus for one another.

Science Elisa provides a challenging and safe class environment for all levels. Expect to be challenged through an alignment based, rigorous stretch and challenging class. Yoga is for everyone; all you need is perseverance and patience with yourself. A strong Yoga fusioin practice with an emphasis on original sequencing for a continuously evolving practice.

Originally a gym junkie with no interest in the practice of yoga asana; Jaqui discovered David’ Sye’s YogaBeats 15 years ago and the seeds of yoga were firmly planted.

Jennifer Qualified with a BA in dance choreography and video art, she loves to incorporate story telling, chanting and singing in her classes. With a MA in Screen Writing she spends her other time writing and making films.

Her teaching style is both playful and nurturing, incorporating dynamic vinyasa flows and more restorative postures and sequencing to address the specific needs and levels of her students. She finds absolute delight in helping others achieve a high standard of body-awareness in their yoga practice and incorporating themes inspired by yoga and Buddhist philosophy, breathing exercises and meditation to take into daily life.

Daughter of a musician and a pianist herself, she loves using music in her classes to assist students in tuning into their bodies and out of noisy inner chatter. Her ultimate aim is to provide an environment and practice where her students can feel safe, whilst working outside their comfort zone to heal the body and quiet the mind through graceful movement.

Since graduating from Performers College, Lizzy has danced professionally within TV, film, theatre and corporate events. She is a member of both the Sol Dans contemporary dance company, and ‘ParkourDance’- which fuses the discipline of parkour with various other dance styles.

His particular interpretation of the practice with an analogy of life itself, and over the last 11 years he has helped many students to deal with challenges in life with a more positive approach, with acceptance and presence. As a consequence, his students report that the practice helps to create a clearer sense of purpose and direction in life.

Marcus’ road to yoga was not a conventional one. Fresh out of uni, he found a way to use his degree in philosophy to justify spending his 20s touring the world as an international DJ, wholeheartedly committing to the hedonistic life… and loving every minute of it. It wasn’t until an over enthusiastic stage-diving mishap put a stop to all professional jumping around for far too long, that he finally took a therapist friend’s advice in trying yoga to get fixed.

She teaches a heartfelt practice with creative sequencing, a deep focus on breath and alignment and a combination of strong steady flow and longer holds to both uplift and tap into the stillness. She draws her understanding from a number of styles and traditions, particularly inspired by the philosophy and practices of the Tantric lineage. Her classes are woven with philosophy, myth and stories and often include music, chanting, meditation and ritual. Her teaching is passionate and knowledgeable, her intention is to both challenge and restore, holding a space for individuals to open, reflect and absorb. You will be taken on a joyful journey of self inquiry and unfolding. Mischa is committed to her own study and practice as the foundation of her teaching.

She has developed a deep understanding of Yoga history and philosophy that relates to both body and mind and been a keen practitioner and learner. She was also drawn into Yoga anatomy when she was recovering from a minor sport injury.

She aims to teach, through Yoga, an appreciation of our present state of being, a mindfulness to help counteract the stresses of daily life.

We provide mats free of charge for both the hot and temperate studios. You are of course welcome to bring your own, but if you forget or prefer not to bother, we have high quality mats which will prevent slippage and won’t bobble with use.
