Our offices and Post-Production studios are
After six years of ´messing around´ at Media College, Scott’s first graduate step on the career ladder was making tea at the BBC. He soon started working on a variety of daytime programmes for BBC1 and ITV.
Scott then moved to a Sutton Coldfield based production company, climbing the ranks to become Staff Director and Live Show-caller on many productions with the likes of Ricky Gervais, Cliff Richard, Bruce Forsyth and the legendary Timmy Mallet! – in addition to having the pleasure of filming at venues ranging from Abbey Road to 10 Downing Street.
These days Scott can be found leading Slinky company strategies, and Producing and Directing a diverse range of video content for Slinky… and occasionally still makes the tea! He also enthusiastically hosts
John has gone full circle and is now back in the West Midlands and can be found heading-up the production team, driving company strategy and directing various content for our awesome clients!
Eoin completed a Foundation Degree in Film and Television Production, Technology and Management at South Staffordshire College, before moving to Staffordshire University to achieve a BSc (Hons) degree in Film Production Technology. During his time in education he produced feature films, award winning music videos and set up a film festival that is still being run today.
You can now find Eoin getting stuck into Productions, establishing creative briefs… and entertaining the Slinky office with his tendency to spontaneously break into song.
Production Coordinator
Matt worked primarily in drama as an assistant director, with productions for major channels taking him all over the country. Spending the past year on the Midland-based BBC soap ‘Doctors’ allowed him to contribute to the running of a long term programme, gaining an extensive knowledge of the practicality and creativity needed on set, not to mention making many uncredited appearances as ‘Man in Doctors Surgery’
The Slinky team keep Matt working hard, using his excellent communication and production skills to assist out on shoots or in the office. He also acts as our Quality Control Officer, obsessively making sure that every video we produce conforms to the highest standards.
During his college years as a humble media student Ryan tried it all, pre-production to post. Working up the production chain, he eventually found his true calling in graphical design. Those discovered skills (developed through many hours of personal projects and pursuits) have now turned into confident ability.
Tom started off his video production journey studying media production at Stratford-upon-Avon college, then moving onto TV and video production at Southampton Solent University. Where his final major project film won a Royal Television Society student award.
Shortly after finishing university Tom started as a self shooting editor at a consumer electronics company, Veho. Where he made extreme sports videos with some of the best athletes in the world as well as working very closely with Southampton Football club.
Tim created a movie trailer during his A-Levels which sparked his interest in filmmaking and led him on to a BA in Film and Television Production at Buckinghamshire New University, where amongst other projects he produced two promotional videos for Age UK.
In March 2017 Tim started working closer to home in the West Midlands as a freelance videographer and editor on a range of corporate video and TV productions. At Slinky his time is spent honing his craft both behind the camera and in the edit suite, drawing on his passion for storytelling to create a fluent narrative on any given project.
Production Assistant Intern
After indulging this filial whim, Maggie found that she really enjoying playing around with a digital camera. Self-taught, with the help of the internet, Maggie won the International Geographic Award for photography at 14.
After working as a wedding photographer for three years, alongside school courses to enhance her natural talent, Maggie chose to travel across the sea to Birmingham City University. Two years into her course finds Maggie joining the Slinky Productions team to further her experience of the exciting world of corporate video.
After leaving theatre, Steve co-founded Slinky Productions with Scott Ledbury, taking control of the office as Production Manager, but also serving as lighting expert for our many studio and live shoots.
In 2016, Steve decided to head back to his roots in the world of theatre, moving on from Slinky Productions. Though Steve is no longer with Slinky day to day, he occasionally returns to consult for us on lighting and live event ventures.
